    Compliance

Our Flame Retardant Expandable Polystyrene (EPS) grades comply with REACH and RoHS testing standards, ensuring safe and environmentally responsible use in global markets.

    Ambient Temperature

Ambient temperature and humidity influence the maturation time of EPS resin during processing. Higher temperatures shorten maturation time, while cooler conditions extend it.

    Handling & Storage Conditions

    • Store expandable polystyrene beads in dry, well-ventilated areas at temperatures below 25 °C.
    • Packed material must not be exposed to direct sunlight for prolonged periods and must be protected from mechanical damage.
    • At higher temperatures (> 25 °C) there is a risk of blowing agent loss, which can result in higher achievable density.
    • Storage areas should include bottom ventilation ports, as the blowing agent is heavier than air.
    • If storage temperature exceeds the recommended level, processing performance will gradually decline and minimum achievable density will increase.
    • Sparks, smoking, and welding in the vicinity are strictly prohibited. Keep away from fire and ignition sources.

    Processing Guidelines

    • Maintain proper earthing in all material conveying systems.
    • Use dry, saturated steam for expansion.
    • Ensure insulated steam lines for energy efficiency.
    • Maintain pre-expander chamber temperature at 97–98 °C.
    • Recommended pressure is 0.1 to 0.3 kg/cm² in the pre-expander chamber.
